Who are we?

Goldman Property Finance Ltd, registered in England and Wales Company No. 07458453, are Commercial Finance Brokers at 8 Hanover Gardens, Salford, M7 4FQ, T: 0161 661 1141. ICO Registration Number: Z2502174. We act as an introducer to banks, finance houses or any other third-party provider of finance for our customers.

How we will use the information about you?

Here at Goldman Property Finance Ltd we take your privacy seriously and we may use your personal information in a number of ways;

  1. To introduce you directly or indirectly to lenders, and enable lenders to make decisions, and to provide financial services.
  2. For fraud prevention.
  3. For audit.
  4. For statistical analysis.
  5. Credit reference checks.
  6. Use it to engage in marketing and business development activity in relation to our financial services. This may include sending you newsletters, updates, marketing communications and other information that may be of interest to you.
  7. Use it for our legitimate business interests, such as undertaking business research and analysis, managing the operation of our website and our business.
  8. To comply with legal and regulatory obligations that we have to discharge.
  9. Use it to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights or for the purpose of legal proceedings.
  10. Your consent: You can withdraw this consent at any time, in which case we will cease to use it, unless we have a right and a need to continue processing it for one of the other reasons set out above.

We may share your information with, and obtain information about you from:

  1. Credit reference agencies or fraud prevention agencies.
  2. Third parties relevant to the financial services that we provide. This may include, but is not limited to, counterparties to transactions, other professional service providers, regulators, authorities, governmental institutions.
  3. To the extent required by law, regulation or court order, for example, if we are under a duty to disclose your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation

Your Personal Data

What we need:

Goldman Property Finance Ltd will be what’s known as the ‘controller’ and the ‘Processer’ of the personal data you provide to us. We collect personal data about you which may also include any special types of information or location-based information.

We also gather:

Name, address, email, dependents, financial status and financial information.

Individuals you have financial links with:

We may also collect personal information about other individuals who you have a financial link with. This may include people who you have joint accounts or policies with such as your partner/spouse, dependents, beneficiaries, guarantors or people you have commercial links to, for example beneficial owners, directors, shareholders, employees and officers of your company.  You must show this policy to any other applicants (including all beneficial owners and directors, guarantors or people you have commercial links to) and ensure they know you will share their personal data with us for the purposes described in it.

Grounds for using your Personal Information:

We rely on the following legal grounds to process your personal information, namely:

Performance of a contract – we may need to collect and use your personal information to enter into a contract with you or to perform our obligations under a contract with you.

Legitimate interest – we may use your personal information for our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, some examples of which are given above.

Compliance with law or regulation – we may use your personal information as necessary to comply with applicable law/regulation.

What we do with it:

Automated Decision Making: Goldman Property Finance Ltd will pass your data captured to brokers/lenders/funders/banks whom may use automated decision-making in respect of your application for finance. We will only collect the minimum amount of data needed and have a clear retention policy for the profiles we create.

You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or any significant affects. You can request human intervention and challenge a decision made this way by contacting Goldman Property Finance Ltd.

All the personal data we use is controlled by Goldman Property Finance Ltd in the UK, however, for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance, this information is located on servers within the European Union. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.  We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.

As introducers we may pass your data to lenders, other mortgage brokers, mortgage packagers, credit reference agencies and third parties relevant to the financial services that we provide.

How long we keep it:

How long we hold personal data for will vary and will depend principally on the purpose for which we are using the personal data – we will need to keep the data for as long as is necessary for the relevant purpose, or we are required to hold it for legal or regulatory reasons. After which time it will be destroyed.

Please note that if your personal information is shared with third parties (as detailed above) they may have different retention policies.

The information used for marketing will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

What are your rights?

  • Right to be informed – Individuals have the right to be informed about the collection and use of their personal data
  • The right of access to your personal data – Individuals have the right to access and receive a copy of their personal data and other supplementary information.
  • The right to rectification- Individuals have the right to have inaccurate personal data rectified or completed if incomplete.
  • The right to erasure – Individuals have the right to have their personal data erased.
  • The right to restrict processing – Individuals have the right to request the restriction or suppression of their personal data.
  • The right to portability – This allows individuals to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services.
  • The right to object – this gives individuals the right to object to the processing of their personal data in certain circumstances, it also gives individuals the absolute right to stop their data being used for direct marketing
  • The right in relation to automated decision making and profiling – this allows individuals to object to their data being used in an automated individual decision-making process (making a decision solely by automated means without any human involvement) and profiling (automated processing of personal data to evaluate certain things about an individual). Profiling can be part of an automated decision-making process.
  • If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter.

There may be reasons why we need to keep or use your data, but please tell us if you think we should not be processing your data.
